TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The general conditions below apply to all persons renting the Harteloire manor, whether they are individuals or legal entities (referred to as "Lessee" in the rest of the document), and regardless of the means of reservation (contract direct, rental site, etc.).

The Lessee's commitment to a rental directly or via a booking site implies unconditional acceptance of these general conditions of sale.

1) Departure and Arrival

 

The rental of the Manoir de l'Harteloire concerns the entire house, in free management.  

For a weekend rental, arrival is on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and departure no later than Sunday at 4:00 p.m.

For a weekly rental, arrival is on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and departure no later than the following Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

2) Rules of procedure

​

The Manoir de l'Harteloire can accommodate 15 guests maximum. 

​

The Lessee undertakes to use the premises and equipment only for the purpose provided for in the contract. He remains solely responsible for his family and guests on the premises. 

The Lessee agrees to return the premises and equipment to the condition they were in when entering the premises. 

The Lessee is responsible for locking the house when traveling. The owner can in no way be held responsible for any thefts concerning the business of the Lessee or his guests.

 

Animals are not allowed.

 

All buildings are completely non-smoking. It is possible to smoke outside subject to using the ashtrays made available to customers.

 

The use of the chimney and the stove are under the full responsibility of the Lessee. It must be done by scrupulously following the recommendations provided to the Lessee at the start of the stay.

Access to the swimming pool is the sole responsibility of the Lessee. He undertakes to keep access secure at all times. 

The basic maintenance of the pool is the responsibility of the Lessee, scrupulously following the instructions provided at the start of the stay.

 

The Lessee agrees to respect the calm inside and outside the Manor.

3) Rental request

​

The rental request can be made by contacting the owner by phone, email or form on the website or on the Facebook page, or directly via a rental site.

 

For a direct rental, if availability is confirmed, a rental is only considered confirmed if all the conditions below are met:

  • the rental contract is returned signed 

  • a copy of an identity document for the Main Policyholder

  • the 50% deposit is paid and cashed (by bank transfer, or by check subject to collection)

A confirmation email will then be sent to you.

 

Furthermore,  the balance of the rental (50%) must be paid and cashed, at the latest 30 days before the start of the rental (by bank transfer, or by check, subject to collection). Otherwise, the owner reserves the right to cancel the reservation without refunding the deposit.

 

For a rental via a booking site, the rules of the booking site apply.

4) Payment of the rental

​

The payment of the rental is done in 2 stages:

  • 50% deposit by transfer, or check (subject to collection), to validate the reservation

  • balance of the reservation (50%) at the latest 30 days before the start of the rental, by bank transfer, or bank check (subject to collection) ​

Tourist taxes are included in the rental price.

Prices are expressed in € and include VAT.

5) Conditions for modifying or canceling the rental

​​

– more than 30 days from the start of the rental: The modification of the reservation is possible subject to availability on the new dates requested. In the event of a request for cancellation or impossibility of modification, reimbursement of the deposit.

​​

– between 15 and 30 days from the start of the rental: The modification of the reservation is possible subject to availability on the new dates requested. In the event of a request for cancellation or impossibility of modification, the deposit is not refunded.

​​

- less than 15 days from the start of the rental: The modification of the reservation is possible subject to availability on the new dates requested. In the event of a request for cancellation or impossibility of modification, the deposit and the balance are not refunded.

​​

The lessor is in no way responsible for the transport of the “Lessee”. It will not make any refund in case of unavailability to reach the vacation spot.

​​

In the event of early termination of the rental by the “Lessee”, the rent remains acquired.

​​

6/ Deposit

​

The keys will only be handed over until the deposit has been validated via the Swikly service before the Lessee's arrival. This deposit remains active no later than 15 days after the end of the rental and is canceled if no deterioration is observed.

 

It will be deducted from the security deposit:

  • the value of broken or cracked items

  • the price of cleaning carpets, blankets, mattresses, bedding, etc. which would have been stained

  • the price of the general cleaning of the rented place; if an intervention is deemed necessary beyond the planned cleaning fee included in the rental

  • any other damage to the rented property with presentation of quotes or repair invoices

  • objects and equipment of any type that have been taken away by the lessee

 

If the deposit is insufficient, the lessee undertakes to complete the sum upon presentation of supporting documents.

7/ Resort insurance

 

The Policyholder is required to check whether his main home insurance contract provides for the extended warranty, which is generally the case.
